East Greenville Borough treats water from the Perkiomen Creek for drinking water. In 2007, the Borough's Source Water Protection Plan was approved by PA D.E.P.. This plan outlines the tributaries of the Perkiomen Creek in Lehigh, Berks, and Montgomery County, and includes monitoring of potential contamination sources throughout the three county area. This plan is on file at Borough Hall.

STORM WATER MANAGEMENT

STORM WATER MANAGEMENT HOME PAGE

East Greenville Borough has a storm water management ordinance requiring the protection of water run-off from construction activities, earth disturbance activities, etc. This includes routine inspection and cleaning of inlets and basins. Prohibited discharges are any discharges that are not composed entirely of storm water.
